We are in an LGBTQIA+ State of Emergency!
We are in an LGBTQIA+ State of Emergency! Here are some steps you can take to make a difference, and promote visibility & pride:
Host a Screening and Discussion
Watch No Straight Lines with your friends together at a home, online, place of worship, to name a few. Or at a college campus, workplace, public library, or community center. Encourage a discussion.
Host a Screening followed by a Drink & Draw event
This is a great way for folks who want to draw their own comics along with others and a nice beverage. First watch the film, and then enjoy a relaxing conversation while drawing with other novices or accomplished artists. The power of self-representation is huge! And don’t forget: No straight lines!
Buy the film for your campus library or alma mater
This is a great way to make the film available in perpetuity to inspire queer youth on college campuses.
Book a Speaker
Schedule a filmmaker or an artist featured in the film as a guest speaker,
Please write to us to arrange an event with one of the filmmakers or artists in the film. [email protected]
Or schedule an activist to speak on one of the issues raised in the film: censorship, queer history, DIY art making, and more.

Help raise funds for your local LGBTQIA+ youth group:
Organize a benefit screening of No Straight Lines. It’s a fun way to raise funds. It’s also a great antidote to the effort to once again make our lives invisible.
